KYBER DROP FESTIVAL 2024
Project Overview
For the second consecutive year, we were invited to provide full production for the dance stage at Kyber Drop 2024. Building on the success of the previous year, we elevated the production by incorporating a wide range of new elements, creating an even more immersive and dynamic experience for festival-goers. Our focus was on seamlessly integrating lighting, laser effects, and video content to deliver a visually captivating atmosphere throughout the event.
Creative Vision and Execution
The goal for this year’s dance stage was to enhance the visual and technical aspects, elevating the energy and atmosphere on the dance floor. We implemented advanced lighting effects, and video projection to create a highly engaging environment.
Technical Setup
For Kyber Drop 2024, the following equipment was deployed:
6 x Chauvet Intimidator 355 IRC
4 x Tarm 2.5 lasers
2 x Showtec Track Pro V4
8 x Showtec Flex Blaze Blinders
2 x Neo Flash 50 Strobes
2 x ADJ Mega Hex PARs
1 x Minuit Une IVL Photon
1 x Christie Roadster HD10K-M Projector
The inclusion of these advanced lighting and laser systems allowed us to create intricate, multi-layered visual effects that responded dynamically to the music, energizing the audience and enhancing the festival's immersive atmosphere.
Truss Goal Post Setup
A truss goal post was incorporated into the stage design, serving as the central rigging point for moving heads and the Christie Roadster projector. This structure also supported the stretch tent canopy, ensuring both functional and aesthetic integration. By positioning key lighting fixtures and the projector at elevated points, we were able to achieve optimal coverage and intensity across the dance floor.
Collaboration and Optimization
In collaboration with the set designer, we worked to optimize the stage design for video projection and lighting effects. Special attention was given to ensuring the rigging of the Minuit Une IVL Photon was done safely, while maximizing its visual impact. The resulting design provided a balanced and cohesive visual experience, blending the lighting and projection seamlessly into the overall stage design.
